Rianne and Kyle’s equestrian themed wedding went off without a hitch (get it 😉) at Oyster Bay Yacht Club. The Wedding and Events Manager, her Assistant, along with the OBYC Staff were able to execute the perfect wedding day and let the couple, their family & friends relax and enjoy the wedding activities. Liz Golden with J’adore Studios captured the lovely day and all their special moments.
All in the Details: Rianne and Kyle have a love for all thing’s horses! Amber with Island Flower and Garden helped create Rianne’s vision for her wedding day. The couple personalized their floral budvases and centerpieces by incorporating trophies won by the couple from Harness Racing and Equestrian Riding. Small horseshoes were incorporated into the ribbon and greenery garland that hung on the doorknobs. Ribbons won by the couple were also displayed in Large Black Lanterns on the credenza table and on the wall behind the table. In lieu of a traditional guest book the couple decided on a personalized tray table for friends and family to sign. We love when couples choose items that can be used in their homes. Rianne’s wedding day flowers and bridal bouquet consisted of large blush pink peonies, white garden roses, purple filler flowers, cream roses and eucalyptus.
Getting Ready: Did someone say Mimosas? Rianne, her bride tribe started their morning relaxing, chatting and sipping on the bubbly. Bridal makeup was by the Beauty Bar. Jenna from the Aveda Salon, styled her hair. The Bride chose a Jenny Yoo Carrington Gown. The gown was a classic strapless ballgown, crafted from luminous ivory taffeta. Instead of a veil she opted for an elegant floor-skimming tulle cape that was adorned with graphic lace applique along the shoulders and high neckline. Both Bridesmaids got to choose their own dress in a blush/nude shade. The Bridesman wore a gray suit with a blush tie and a pink rose boutonniere. Kyle wore a dark gray suit; blush colored tie and a white spray rose boutonniere. His Groomsmen wore light gray suits, mauve colored ties, with a white spray rose boutonniere.
Ceremony: Guests arrived via personal cars and the Amelia Island Trolleys. Rianne and Kyle said their “I do’s” on the lawn of our Marsh view Canopy Ceremony Site. Our couples love this ceremony spot because it is the perfect mix of old Florida vibes with its tall oak trees draped with Spanish moss and palmetto meets coastal without the sand! Pastor Bob Hovey with First Coast Ceremonies officiated the ceremony. Rianne and her father walked down the aisle to Surrender by Natalie Taylor.
Cocktail Hour + Reception: Guest were led upstairs to our Club House where the cocktail hour and reception took place. Guests were greeted with butler passed cocktails and hour doeuvres on the covered verandah. Once outside they were able to mingle and enjoy the coastal views and breeze of the intercoastal waterways. DJ Will Deaton with Resort Talent kicked off the dance floor with the newlyweds first dance to Sparks by Coldplay. For dinner guest enjoyed food stations around the verandah. Food included an incredible seafood station, salad, fruit, and cheese display, shrimp and grits, and a yummy fried chicken display with a trio of dipping sauces. During dinner Liz with J’adore Studios snuck the newlyweds to her favorite hidden spots for romantic sunset pictures. After sunset photos it was time for toasts and cake. The delicious white buttercream cake was made by Bliss Cakery. Family and Friends enjoyed cake and dancing throughout the night. The Bride and Groom ran through a sea of sparklers for their grand exit and then hopped on the Amelia Island Trolleys and rode off into the night with guests to the after party.
