We were so happy that Jess and Logan picked Oyster Bay Yacht Club to host their wedding ceremony and wedding reception.  We loved how the couple incorporated personal touches & details into their special day. Jess and her bridesmaids started their day enjoying champagne and mimosas while they had their hair and makeup done by the lovely ladies of studio bride. Sarah Hedden Photography captured Jess & Logan’s special day. Sarah even saved the day when Jess’s shoe strap was too loose. Sarah explained the moment on her blog “So, of course, I came to the rescue and decided to bite a hole into the strap so it would fit.” Shari (Mother of the Bride) helped her daughter into her stunning lace and chiffon A-line dress from The White Magnolia Bridal Collection- Jacksonville.

Awaiting the ceremony, nestled between palmetto trees and under giant live oaks, guests sat on rustic wood benches provided by luxe party rentals. Family and friends chatted while fluttering raffia fans enjoying the warm southern breeze of the Florida bay. The ceremony processional started with the familiar tune of Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. Once seated the music changed to 100 YEARS – 5 FOR FIGHTING and the bridal party made their way down the aisle. The pretty bridesmaids were in different shades of blush and pinks while the dashing groomsmen were in navy tuxes paired with floral ties. The Groom escorted his Mother Keri to her seat and then took his place at the front of the alter to wait for his bride. The surprise guest was Jess and Logan’s dog Bear, who was also the ring bearer (how cute!). He couldn’t contain his excitement (or his tail) as he made his way to the front.  The music transitioned to Lana Del Ray’s Young & Beautiful and it was time for our beautiful bride and her father to walk down the aisle. Jess held the most romantic blush and dusty rose bridal bouquet made with mixture of quicksand roses, O’Hara Garden Roses, Antike Garden roses, and a mixture of greenery. The bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquet, corsages, ceremony flowers and reception flowers were designed by Let Destiny Design. The ceremony included a Sand Commitment and exchanging of vows. They were declared husband and wife, had their first kiss as a married couple and recessed down the aisle to Kiss the Girl by Samuel E Wright.

Family and friends made their way to the reception space upstairs where Oyster Bay staff butler passed hors d’oeuvres and beer & wine. Grayson with Generation Y Entertainment kicked off the Reception with upbeat music for cocktail hour. For the Reception Jess let her creativity and customization flow. With the help of OBYC’s Wedding & Events Manager and staff, Jess was able to dream up a Custom Sangria Bar, where guests could choose between 3 sangria options and add in fruit garnishes. It was a super cute set up that everyone could not stop talking about! Jess and her family also created small custom floral arrangements in tiny pink mason jars that served as table assignments and favors. The guest loved being able to take home such a neat gift from the Bride and Groom. After the couple’s photos, Mr. & Mrs. Green were announced into the reception and went right into their first dance, Can’t Help Falling in Love by Haley Reinhart. After their first dance the Father of the Bride (Tim Green) gave A welcome speech followed by the Blessing by the Brides Godfather. Guest were asked to find their seats and OBYC Staff released the tables for the Buffet. Jess and Logan picked out some great choices for their buffet that the guest raved about for the rest of the night. The buffet included an Artisan Greens Salad, Garlic Crusted Prime Rib Carving Station, Chicken Scaloppini Marsala, Crab Crusted Grouper, Sautéed Green Beans, Fresh Sautéed Asparagus with Hollandaise Drizzle, Garlic Mashed Potatoes Gouda Mac & Cheese, and Dinner Rolls with Butter.

Once Jess and Logan had enough food in their bellies, we snuck them out for sunset pictures on the docks. One of our members at Oyster Bay Yacht Club allowed the newly weds to use their boat for sunset photos and they turned out stunning! We were able to sneak them back into dinner without anyone noticing. After dinner it was time for the toasts & cake cutting. The best man and maid of honor gave their speeches and then it was time to cut the cake! The wedding cake along with the sweet treats were created by Alleycakes Dessert Company. Jess decided to smash the cake in Logan’s face and then proceeded to kiss it off. Next up was the traditional dances.

Jess and her father danced to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle. Logan and his mother danced to Days Like This by Van Morrison, which kicked off the dancing for the night. Jess and Logan had more surprises throughout the night. Logan showed off his hilarious dance routine for Jess to remove her garter for the garter toss. Jess could not hold back her laughter watching her new husband perform. Greyson (Generation Y Entertainment) lead a few group dances and entertained guest with their signature standup microphone. Everyone gator chomped their way off the dance floor for the last group dance and made their way downstairs for a sparkler farewell. Before exiting the reception, guest hit the gourmet popcorn bar filled with flavors that included, sweet & salty, buffalo, and ranch. The bride and groom rode off in their married bliss in a Cadillac convertible from Martins Vintage Rides!
